Ministries By Life Stages
FBC Athens offers a variety of ways for students to get involved in our ministry. We have DNow weekends, attend Student Conferences, host 5th Quarter events, participate in mission trips in our community, our country, and throughout the world. Our Student ministry likes to focus on being on the EDGE...

Minister to Youth and College Students.
We want to reach our family, friends, classmates, teammates, community, and any body else that we may meet, with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will go door-to-door, on mission trips, do special outreach events, so that we may win our city, state, country, and our world to the Lord Jesus Christ!
We believe discipleship and small groups is one of the best ways for a believer to grow in their faith in Christ. We offer age-appropriate small groups on Sunday mornings at 9:30 and Sunday nights at 6:00 in our Student Ministry building. This is where students will dig deep into the truth of God’s word and how it can be applied to their daily lives.
As Christians we are called to live a lifestyle of worship. So often people think of worship as just being music and songs. We believe that we are to glorify our Heavenly Father not only with songs and music, but also how we live out our daily lives. We can glorify God by how we treat other people, how we act in school, or on the playing field. We should live out our lives to glorify God.
In a world where students too often make unnecessary comparisons with what the world tells them they should look like or act like, we want to edify each other in who we are in Christ. Our goal is for students to see themselves through the eyes of our Creator, not through the eyes of the world. We encourage each other in our daily walk with Christ and want to hold each other accountable for that walk. It is a journey that we take together.
