(5/26/10) - Added the details for the UPWARD® Training Conference we plan on attending.
First Baptist Church,
The UPWARD® Ministry Team is making plans to attend the UPWARD® Training Conference just outside of Birmingham at First Baptist Church in Trussville. The conference is scheduled for 6/25 - 6/26. Please be in prayer about the conference as we finalize our plans and who will be attending.

The UPWARD® Ministry team is excited to partner with God and with the family at First Baptist to reach our community for Christ through the vehicle of sports. In the fall/winter of '09 our church will be providing an UPWARD® Basketball and Cheerleading League for boys and girls ranging from the ages of Kindergarten through 6th grade. Please pray about how God might call you into this exciting ministry opportunity as we seek to impact our community for Christ.

Registration
Early registration begins on September 13th, 2009 after the evening service and will conclude on October 19th, 2009.
Regular registration concludes on January 8th, 2010.
Registration is for Boys and Girls age Kindergarten through 6th grade.
Cost:
*** All registrations are at Regular Cost as of October 20, 2009 ***
Basketball - Early ($55); Regular ($60); optional item is $12.00
Cheerleading - Early ($55); Regular ($60); optional item is $12.00
Each child that registers will receive the following items.
Scholarships are available upon request.
Children, whose parent is currently serving our country away from their family, will have their registration cost paid for by UPWARD®. (Caz's Corner - Serving Honor)

Basketball Skill Evaluations
The main purpose of skill evaluations is to gather information on each player in order to create equal teams. Players will participate in six total drills. Three drills focus on shooting and three drills focus on agility. Coaches will demonstrate the drill, communicating to the child what is expected of him or her.
Basketball Skill Evaluation Dates:
November 2nd and 5th - 5:30 - 8:30 pm @ First Baptist Family Life Center
Contingency Skill Evaluation:
