First Baptist Church of Athens, Alabama is a thriving congregation of believers which meets at the intersection of Clinton Street and Hobbs Street near downtown Athens. Conveniently located on four city blocks, the eight building complex provides excellent facilities for the multifaceted ministries of a growing church. First Baptist Church traces organizational roots back to 1820. Yet, with firm roots in the past and a marvelous historical heritage, this church has a unique vision and focus.
